Rebekah Zaveloff's route to becoming a design professional began in art school, where she studied sculpture and painting before discovering her preferred medium was collage and working with found objects and images. Her experiences led to working for several years in the film industry, in set design, before taking a second degree in interior design. These early influences show clearly in the work she has done on behalf of the many clients of the design firm she founded with her husband Nick in 2003, KitchenLab, LLC. Her signature style is collaborative, and pulls from different periods, creating a collage of design styles which suit her client’s personalities. design in a bag® was created from perceiving a real need for design clarity and simplicity for those who don’t have the time, the vision, the experience, or immediate access to the resources needed for creating the look you’ve always wanted. Rebekah and Nick have taken their love of design and years of experience and have packaged this in ready-made collections of materials – it’s like getting a recipe sent to your door complete with all the ingredients so you can begin your kitchen project with confidence!
